Arrow head card

14th May 2018

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog for today.

I am sharing a card with you today that I adapted to fit into a size C6 envelope.
I found a tutorial on YouTube for a 6x6 inch card by Sam from mixed up craft.
I do hope you give it a try.
I shared with a few people at a team meeting and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Base card 6 ¼” x 9” scored @ 4 ½
Mark with pencil at 1 ½” 3 3/8” and 4 ½” on both edges and mark centre short side @ 3 1/8

Score from 3 1/8” to 1 ½”
Score from 3 1/8” to 3 3/8”
Score from 3 1/8” to 4 ½”
Do this on both sides then concertina fold score lines and burnish.
DSP 6” x 4 3/8”
Mark @3” with pencil on the 6” side then cut from 3” mark to corner both sides
Triangle center piece for front of card and the 2 smaller triangles are for inside card.

Very vanilla cardstock cut at 6” x 4 3/8”
Do the same as you did for your DSP you will have two triangles left over which you can mat your dsp on, but you would not see it unless you trim 2/8” off your dsp on the longer side of your triangle.

Cut a length of ribbon approx  8" and attach to lower inside card and tuck ends behind dsp as in video. Take another piece of ribbon and wrap around three fingers and cut and secure with glue dots to form a circle do the same with another piece of ribbon wrapping around two fingers this time and cut and secure as previously. Lay the two pieces on top of each other with glue dots then cut a piece of ribbon approximately 1 1/2" and wrap around centre and secure with glue dot then attach ribbon pho bow to left of centre ribbon on card with a glue dot.

Decorate front of card with doily and sentiment cut out with 2nd stitched framelit. Attach with dimensionals using a glue dot tuck tassel under sentiment. Add some coloured pearls and a sentiment to inside of card and you are done .

Hello everyone

This is the new Stamparatus you can order from the 1st June 2018 it is the best stamping positioning tool around as the plates can be moved across and up and down making it great for multiple stamping.
In the video you will learn 5 basic steps to using your stamparatus.

Hello everyone.

Sorry it has been a while since I have been on just been very busy with other things.

Today I would like to share with you how I made this card.

base card was Dapper denim cut @ 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
#145601 Glimmer paper layer one measures 4" x 5 1/4"
dsp layer 2 is 3 3/4" x 5"
Basic grey 1 @ 2 3/4 x 1 5/8"
Basic grey 1 @ 2 3/4" x 2 1/2"

A scrap of basic grey approximately 4" x 5 " run this piece through the big shot using brick embossing folder. This will be cut into sections and adhered to the basic grey pieces to create the bricks these can be placed where ever you like I used my basic black watercolour pencil just to give it a bit more shading.
I fussy cut the dragon and knight from the myths and magic specialty dsp
#145600
I cut a piece of dsp approx 1/2" x 6" and layed it on my grid paper to mark the squares to cut out then I layed them on top of basic grey to get the right length that I needed. I cut a triangle for the roof out of the darker grey cardstock. I also cut a grey window just by eye or you could use the home sweet home framelits if you have them.
Stamped the sentiment onto soft sky card stock then trimmed and flagged to size.
stamp colour was archival basic black.
I used dimensionals for the dragon knight and the sentiment has a double stack of dimensionals to raise it higher.
Almost forgot the glitter flag piece

Well I hope you like the project for today.

Don't forget that Sale-a-bration ends on the 31st March so get those orders in  you can just click on the shop now button to purchase any items. The more you shop the more free product you earn.
